NOTES: The Red Sox placed Dustin Pedroia on the 15-day disabled list yesterday with a sore thumb. Pedro Ciriaco was called up from the PawSox to take his spot on the roster. To make room on Boston’s 40-man roster the Red Sox placed pitcher Rich Hill on the 60-day disabled list.
UP NEXT: The PawSox return home for a two game series with the Syracuse Chiefs beginning tonight at 6:05p.m. Tanner Roark (4-10, 5.27 ERA) starts for the Chiefs vs. Zach Stewart (1-0, 1.54 ERA) throws for the PawSox.
