Pawtucket Bisons?

There’s a familiar look to the Buffalo Bisons…Four members of the Buffalo roster have Boston/Pawtucket ties.

Tonight’s starter Kyle Snyder spent three seasons with the Red Sox, spending most of 2008 with the Pawtucket.  He was 1-4 with a 5.26 ERA for Pawtucket in 14 games last season.  He signed a minor league contract with the Mets in January.

Tonight’s DH for the Bisons is Wily Mo Pena.  He spent parts of 2006 and 2007 with the Red Sox.  He was in Pawtucket during the 2006 season where he batted .244 with 2 homers and 7 RBI’s in 12 games.  He joined the Bisons as a minor league free agent on April 20th.

Lefty reliever Jon Switzer had a solid 2007 in the Pawtucket bullpen.  In 52 appearances Switzer went 5-1 with a 4.40 ERA.  He signed with the Mets as a minor league free agent during the off season.

The fourth former member of the PawSox on the Buffalo roster is OF Bobby Kielty.  Cuurently on the Buffalo disabled list, Kielty batted .228 with 3 homers and 18 RBI’s in 28 games with the PawSox in 2008.  he signed a minor league deal with the Mets in January.
