Bisons Lead PawSox 2-0 After Three
The Buffalo Bisons lead the Pawtucket Red Sox 2-0 after two innings tonight at McCoy. The PawSox have now gone 37 consecutive innings without scoring a run.
Buffalo scored two runs off PawSox starter Charlie Zink in the top of the third. With one out, LF Fernando Martinez singled to the mound and advanced to third on a throwing error by Zink. Wily Mo Pena followed by driving in Martinez with a double to the gap in right center. After Zink threw a wild pitch sending Pena to third, 1B Javier Valentin drove him in with a single to left.
Zink has given up five hits through three innings, walking three, striking out two, and hitting a batter.
Former PawSox pitcher Kyle Snyder has pitched well through three innings for the Bisons. He has given up three hits while striking out two.
