Paws Birthday Celebration
Here’s our video of Paws’ 10th Birthday Celebration today at McCoy
The Pawtucket Red Sox are still leading the Lehigh Valley Iron Pigs, now by a score of 5-1, after five innings this afternoon at McCoy.
The PawSox added a run in the bottom of the third on a wild pitch by Iron Pigs Pitcher Jason Anderson. They scored two more runs in the fourth on an a 2-run double by Jeff Natale.
The PawSox pitching staff has been stellar, allowing a lone run on one hit through five innings…
The PawSox lead the Lehigh Valley Iron Pigs 2-0 after two innings this afternoon at McCoy.
Pawtucket scored two runs in the bottom of the first inning as Lehigh Valles starter Steve Green walked the bases loaded with one out. Chip Ambres then drove in both runs with a single to left.
PawSox starter Marcus McBeth, pressed into duty for the ailing Clay Buchholz, has been perfect through two innings, throwing a total of only 18 pitches, 12 for strikes.
I’m here at my perch in the McxCoy Stadoium press box getting set for gme two of the series between the PawSox and the Lehigh Valley Iron Pigs. It’s Paws’ 10th Birthday Celebration! It looks like the weather will be dry with the temperatures seasonable.
Marcus McBeth (1-0) will make a spot start for the PawSox. He takes the spot of Clay Buchholz, who is missing the start due to a pulled hamstring. He’ll be opposed by Rodrigo Lopez (0-0) for Lehigh Valley…Here are the line-ups…

Because McBeth is making the start out of the bullpen, he will probably be restricted to only a few innings. PawSox Manager Ron Johnson says because of the solid pitching of Charlie Zink and Billy Traber last night, there are plenty of arms in the bullpen to complete today’s game.
More updates to come…
